Mutual Vision are proud to announce our sponsorship of a new research project by Whitecap Consulting. The report, to be published in March 2021, is set to deliver new and meaningful insight to support the future prosperity of the building society sector. Working in partnership with the BSA, the emphasis will be on how the sector can differentiate itself in the future. It will shine a light on the value of regionality, the role of technology and the impact mutuality could have in the future. As to be expected, there will be a focus on how the sector can respond to a post Covid world, considering the long-term impact as well as the short-term.
Speaking about the report Richard Coates, Managing Director of Whitecap Consulting said: “There have been several structural changes impacting the building society sector over recent years. Many of these changes have been accelerated as a result of the coronavirus pandemic, including digital transformation across the economy. As the potential longer-term impacts of Covid become clearer, this is an appropriate time to reassess what the future holds for the building society sector. I am grateful to the BSA and the organisations partnering with us on this project, and we look forward to publishing our report in the New Year.”
Andy Atkinson, Business Development Director of Mutual Vision said: “Mutual Vision has an absolute belief that the building society sector can not only survive, but thrive in the future, and as the Digital Mutual, we are 100% dedicated to helping make that a reality through collaboration and technology. We are thrilled to be supporting and contributing to this report being published by Whitecap and supported by the BSA.”
He continued: “Building societies play a critical role in the financial landscape and the communities they serve. This report will prove to be invaluable to senior leaders within the societies themselves and for the organisations who support them”
