Since their inception in 1999, the Mortgage Finance Awards have celebrated mortgage lenders and suppliers who have made a difference and have positive stories to tell at an annual awards event.
This year, the winners in the Mortgage Finance Gazette Awards 2018 gathered on 14 November at the Royal College of Physicians in London at an informal gathering to collect their trophies and Mutual Vision walked away with a highly commended award for the best use of collaborative technology category.
When QTS went into liquidation in 2016, Mutual Vision moved at pace to guarantee security of service to just over a quarter of the building society sector. Mutual Vision brokered a collaboration between its six building society shareholders and the 12 ex QTS customers. The first 12 months was all about continuity but throughout 2017, eight of the ex QTS customers embraced Mutual Vision as their digital technology partner for the future.
George Webb, Chief Executive at Mutual Vision commented that ‘The fact Mutual Vision was able to make this opportunistic move which has now been recognised within the industry with an award is proof of the growing maturity in the business. This was a fantastic example of collaboration within the mutual sector. Everybody came together with a real sense of purpose to find a simple, commercially viable solution to what was a pressing issue’
